An explanation of how the paintings are mounted

The majority of our paintings, unless stated, are mounted onto an elaborate scroll. Each scroll is bascally a long length of thick paper, with a thin wooden dowell at the top and a heavier wooden tube at the bottom.

This image illustrates how our art work is delivered. The image shows firstly how the height/widths given on the sites represent the full height/width of the scroll (and not just the painted part). This is to help you better judge use of space!

The image also demonstrates typical sizes of the bordered mount. For more information, please contact us straight away.

Please note that, unless stated:

• All art work is hand painted.
• All art work is mounted. Sizes depict the size of the full piece including any mounted scroll. We crop the scrolls out of the website image so that the focus is on the actual painting, but full pictures will be available soon.
• Our paper scrolls typically have 25cm padding above and beloe the actual painting, and 10cm padding to the left and right. Please click here to view an illustration of an example piece with the scroll and sizes.
